CROSSFIRE
A downloadable M23 "R"-type wargame
There is a war that has continued for longer than anyone alive can remember. Whatever it was fought for is now long lost. Governments are gone. Politics are reduced to cults, slogans chanted with their original meanings immaterial. Armies have long since shattered into ragged fragments. In wastelands and dead cities, the Casualties, the last of soldiers, still battle in a war that has itself died.
In CROSSFIRE, you and a comrade will take the role of commanders of these wretched squadrons. Fight grisly battles, win victory by the skin of your teeth, or have your entire squad gunned down in one turn- it relies on your tactics, your squad, and as combat ever does, the luck of the die. This game is built to be unforgiving and hectic, as befits the desperate battlefields of this endless war.
Included is the full game, the full game in printer-friendly text (CROSSFIRE FIELD ISSUE), and a light version of the game for those who would like to test it out (CROSSFIRE LOW ON AMMO).
This game was inspired primarily by MORK BORG by Johan Nohr and Pelle Nilsson, SAVAGE WORLDS by Pinnacle Entertainment Group, and ARMY MEN COMBAT by Gaetano “OnePageAnon” Ferrara. Support their work.
